Learning Model Update - November 25, 2020

Upon our return from Winter Break on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, your child will remain in the same Learning Model he or she was in December. Due to the level of virus in our community, the majority of our students will continue to be in the Distance Learning Model. This decision was made after reviewing health data and having consulted with our health partners. All nine Nanakuli-Waianae Complex Schools have decided that our community will be safer with Distance Learning. It is important to have a period of Distance Learning after the holidays to make sure that everyone is safe. Please click the link to learn more and view the letter from Interim CAS Disa Hauge regarding our complex-wide Learning Model.

Panorama Student Survey

Beginning November 2nd, Nānāikapono students in grades 3-6 will be asked to complete the 2020-2021 Online Panorama Student Survey virtually with their classroom teachers. Your child’s responses to the survey are very important as their responses will be used to enhance teacher practice and school climate. Individual student responses are confidential and will not be tracked.

This survey is voluntary; however, your child’s views are important to ensure a quality educational system. We ask for your assistance in encouraging your child to participate and respond honestly to the survey questions. No further action is required from you unless you do not want your child to complete the survey.

Please click the link above to view more information and to access the survey.

NFL YET Boys & Girlʻs Club Music in the Clubhouse Strings

The Nanakuli Clubhouse is conducting their second year of "Music in the Clubhouse" program in partnership with Hawaii Youth Symphony. This amazing partnership has created a wonderful opportunity for youths to learn the Violin string instrument. The great news is there is no cost because Hawaii Youth Symphony has scholarships available to youths that want to join, as long as the youth is an active club member. If not, youths just need to complete the membership form found at our website and submit to the Nanakuli Clubhouse with a copy of an age verification document (such as birth certificate, medical card, Keiki ID, etc): https://www.bgch.com/get-involved/parents/
One more awesome thing....it is Virtual, so any youth can join from the comfort of their home. How awesome is that!
